Is anybody on Mirtazapine for sleep? I am in the process of increasing my Lexapro to 20mg (first dose yesterday) and of course have side effects, but I will push through.
But in my anxiety I have a lot of trouble sleeping. Used to use Trazodone, but for some reason was not working so well. pdoc prescribed Mirtazapine. Took it for the first time last night, had to take 15mg. Slept, still woke up a few times, but groggy this morning.
Anybody take this for sleep, that can share their experiences?
Thank you

Did your P-doc prescribe this specifically (off label) to help with the sleep issues?

Yes she did. But I am am quite nervous about
it. She wanted to give me another benzo (other than xanax), but I really have afraid of the benzos.

I see...that's what I was thinking.
I think the reviews are somewhat mixed as to how this Rx performs as a sleep aid...
...but from what I can tell, for those that it works for...they really seemed to like it.
You may want to check in with this question in Depression...since the drug's principal purpose is in treating MDD.
Wishing you the best with this new venture!

Thank you. I am totally freaking out about
continuing to take it. Google is a horrible thing.

Yes it can be bad for anxiety!
... it try to keep in mind that people tend to predominantly post on their negatives experiences...not the neutral or positive ones!
Did you post in depression yet?
