Sleep Study? Ambien?

Has anyone had a sleep study? I'm thinking of trying Ambien when I'm there.

Anyone take Ambien?

I take Ambien. I have chronic insomnia. I can go a good few days without sleep if I don't take my ambien. Works like a charm for me!

Hi Stacy,

I would suggest asking the Sleep Center for the best advice. They may not want you taking Ambien.

I have had a sleep study but the only medication I was taking that might make me sleepy was Klonopin and I was asked, if possible, not to take it.

The doctor who ordered the sleep study told me they would give me Ambien if I was unable to go to sleep.

They want me to sleep, because they are checking for Apnea. I have several autoimmune diseases and breathing problems.

the study will be very conclusive. I have had 2 done. they are critical for dx sleep apnea and associated sleep disorders.

I have tried Ambien and did not like it as it made me feel groggy in the morning.

I have a feeling they won't want you to take Ambien during the test.

On my first sleep study - the doc made fun of me... The last test you are told that you get to go home after the test. He said 95% of people don't fall a sleep for that test.. I was out in six minutes.

The second test I swear I never went to sleep but they said I did.
