Hi Folks.

That's me back had a great few days at a music festival and saw some brilliant bands and caught up with a best mate I had not seen in a while.

Anyway hope all is well.

I saw some great bands the best being Band of skulls, Colonel mustard & the dijon 5, The Coral, Dandy Warhols, Circa waves, Leftfield, 2manyDJs, Mickey 9's, The Lottery Winners and Yucatan.

I've heard Band of Skulls and The Dandies before. I remember 6 or 7 thousand years ago listening to The Dandy Warhols Come Down for the first time. Blew my mind - pop+psych+drone=awesome. They influenced what I listened to for many years.

Aye the Dandy Warhols were great have you heard of the Brian Johnston Massacre?

The best band I saw was Yucatan the completely blow me away they are from Wales here in the UK but sing in Welsh and have a Shoegaze vibe here have a listen.

The BJM are great! Anton probably posts on one of our mental health boards. ;-)

The neighbor's teenage kid knew that I played guitar and asked if I could teach her some chords. I said "how 'bout I teach you to play a whole song?" I then proceeded to show her an Em, and spun up BJM's "Sue". We played Em for about 2 hours straight and had a pile of fun.

Em is a chord even I can play!.;)

I am a guitar hack...(vocals is my primary instument)

...but my 14yr. old is killin' it lately!

She's been taking lessons for a few years now...but recently has taken off with her practicing/song learning and writing!

Music is a divine gift!!.;)
