If one SSRI doesn't work, what next?

It was up I believe...I'm just not sure what to think anymore...I feel horrible; not sure if it's from stopping the ssri or what...

Well, it was a non-fasting blood work...I've had a fasting one and it showed pre-diabetes...This has been the most frustrating thing ever. I'm mentally better but not physically. I've just come off months of being on the wrong medication and now feel I'm suffering the after effects. I just don't know where to turn...I'm so ready to be positive and have a return to myself. I have a son to support and am in no way capable right now. I feel in some ways I'm beginning to get worse mentally as well b/c every time I feel bad physically, I kind of freeze and feel as if I can't get up and do things b/c might run up heart rate and bp...making me feel weak and causing light headed feeling...just a vicious cycle...Thank you for reaching out.

Hi SC...I hate to continually be a downer; just haven't ever felt so badly. The benzo does help temporarily; sometimes though the weakness feels like it may be tied to it but after researching tonight, I've seen how others who have come off lexapro have experienced "full body weakness"...and light headedness. I'm just ready for this nightmare to end...then I'll have to figure out how to get off the benzo. I will never touch another medication if I survive this. My coping skills aren't so great...I feel I'm beginning to fall back into fearful behavior;; i.e..not getting off the couch for fear of fainting...when feeling wobby, weak legs, feel I'll pass out...just crazy thinking. I soooo need to be back for my son. Thank you again for your kind concern.
