Hi Lisa,
I'm sorry, I know you've been dealing with this for quite a while now.
I've been on lexapro, multiple times over the last ten years. I've never had any symptoms like you describe.
I've had all kinds of side effects during the initial startup. nothing like this.
In one of your other posts you mention that you've talked to your p-doc about them and he basically just shrugged.
That is very frustrating, I know.
With all of that being said, I'd get a medical doctors opinion. It may just be a case of startup side effects (since you increased to 10 six weeks ago). But sweetie, you've got to do something to put your mind at ease, or get answers to a physical problem. I know that even if a doctor tells you you have no physical issues, you're probably still gonna worry. So I'd go get checked out and if you get an all clear on your health, then talk to your p-doc about a change in meds.
While it's true that most p-doc's know more about a/d's than most medical doctors, medical doctors may know more about the physical symptoms.
I'd think that after six weeks of the new dose the startup effect would be finished. You might not be at the best therapeutic level, but most effects would be done. That's how it was for me anyway.
I wish I could give you a big hug. It's been hard on you and you deserve it.
Good luck, I hope you find some answers and relief.
