I've been taking Lexapro 10mg for almost 3 weeks now. The first few days I was taking it in the morning, but then noticed that my Rx bottle specified that it was to be taken at night, so I started doing that. Now I am having LOTS of trouble sleeping - not having anxiety at night, just can't sleep - and some undesireable sexual side effects :/
I'm wondering if changing the time of day I take the med would lessen these side effects?
Why does the bottle specify to take it at night?
Thanks for any help!!

IJ,
Check with your prescribing doctor. ..but yes, most people find Lexapro activating, and take it in the a.m.
Continued best wishes with your start up, and keep posting so we can keep you encouraged!

Hi
Lexapro is very activating so in my opinion it is best to take it first thing in the morning but do speak with your doctor about
it.

After consulting with my Pdoc, I decided to break the dosage in two and take 5mg in the morning and 5mg in the evening.
Main thing I read is to be consistent in how you take it, i.e. set a schedule and try to take it.
