need advice on medication

i stopped prozac 40 mg, which i have been taking for about a month, for last 6 days, coz i was experiencing side effects that were impacting my life severely. I also take seroquel 75 mg. So in order to figure out which one of these meds was the cause, i stopped one of them. Turns out it was seroquel. So my question is can i start prozac tomorrow at the same dose as before 40 mg? or do i titrate over a week, start with 20 mg and then go up, like i did in the beginning.

You really should ask your doctor about this...not only about reinstating the Prozac, but about guidance for the Seroquel discontinuation. I am sorry to hear you are having these difficulties.

How frustrating for sure!

However, with some help from your prescribing doc, hopefully you will get your regimen where you need it to be in order to feel your best, soon. (if you can't get a hold of your doctor due to the weekend...your pharmacist would be another professional you could consult)

Hi

I agree with SC that you need to speak with your doctor but I would imagine they will suggest you start on 20 and work up to 40mg or try a different AD.
