SSRI windows and waves

So im on my second attempt at getting of Lexapro. I had been on 20mg tapered to 5 mg early in Jan and then stopped. Withdrawl symptoms set in about 2 weeks later and I went back on 2.5 mg for 4 weeks then stopped again. 2 weeks later withdrawl synotoms again which I just lived with for 2-3 weeks including foggy brain, muscle aches, poor concentration, vision changes, occasional headaches. Then everything seems to go away for about 2 weeks and now i feel sick again......

Is this windows and waves.....??? Can someone that has had a similar story compare notes w me??

Ive been on fish oil, mag, b complex and vit D for several months. Just frustrated because i thought I was done feeling sick a few weeks ago and now I am back in the thick of if again

it could be windows and waves. How fast did you taper from 20 to 5?

I tapered from 20 mg to 0 mg over 3 months. Was off for 4 weeks and then couldn't tolerate withdrawl amd went back on 2.5 mg for 4 weeks then went off again. I was fine off the 2nd time for 2 weeks and then started up w the withdrawl symptoms. It seemed to have let up after 2-3 weeks and then came back again after about 4-5 days symptom free

It does seem to take a while to get over the withdrawal effects I would of maybe halved a 2.5 dose to 1.25 and then stopped but it sounds like you are over the worst of it.
