Hi, my name is Rich.

I am traveling today to San Francisco. I have a lot of anxiety. I am trying to just take it one step at a time. I've already packed 90% of my stuff. I hate packing so it's nice to have that taken care of. I decided after debating it that I will not put a cigarette lighter in my baggage, the airline says it's a no-no and I will just worry if I do it.

Getting to the airport means driving and I have fears about that. But I know from past experience that I do fine once I get behind the wheel.

Would appreciate any feedback, good wishes or prayers. May write again.

You will do fine...but I will send prayers and positive thoughts for your travels just the same...

You are going to be very close to where I live! (less than an hour)

SF is amazing...I hope you have a great time! Is this a just for fun trip?

Now i'm sitting hear ready but have an hour and a half to wait. Still having anxious thoughts going through my brain. Fears about driving and about getting through security. And doing with cigs, though I do have the nicotine patch.

Just wish this day with all its events would be over.

This is two days later, but you will crush it. 99% of the battle is just going through the motions. I'd like to lay in bed all day if I had my druthers, but then the anxiety wins. Look it in the face, give it the finger, and do what you have to do (as bad as it feels at the time).

Regarding the smokes, do you find that they increase your anxiety? I dip and find that every pinch increases my heart rate, to which I have become hyper-sensitive, and therefore causes anxiety...
