alcohol and cipralex

so I am not a drinker- have ha d 2 in 2017... after 20 days on cipralex 0.5 I am now on day 5 of 10mg.

Might I be able to have a wee cocktail on Christmas Eve and/or Christmas? I have great respect for meds so don't want to risk any issues. Not worth it but just wondering.

Thoughts anyone?

WTOM,

Light imbibing while taking an SSRI is usually fine, and will not cause any increase in anxiety, or loss of efficacy with your med. (a risk if you over do the consumption of alcohol)

However, a benzodiazepine and alcohol should never be mixed.
