I took 15mg of the anti-depressant Mirtazapine, and at some time, a few weeks, a few months, after I started taking the med., at bedtime, within 30 minutes after laying down, my toes would start to twitch.
I did not associate it with the med for in the first few days, weeks, months, after I started taking the Mirtazapine, I did not have that side affect. It was only after the med started building up in my system did that begin.
I took that Mirt for 2 or 3 years before I finally figured it out, that the toe twitching was from the Mirt, as well as this huge increase in appetite 15-20 minutes after taking the med.
Oh, the toe twitching stopped when I told my psychiatrist of this, and she reduced my Mirt from 15 mg a night to 7.5mg.
So, it was the medicine which caused my toes to twitch and my sudden hunger 15-30 minutes after taking the Mirtazapine at night just before going to bed.
So, I would be very keen to any condition you might have, that it could be caused by the med you are taking. I would look up the side affects on the net.
Did restless leg start within a month or two of your first taking Zoloft? Does it start within 30 minutes of your taking Zoloft and then laying down?
Also, I would not ignore medicine simply because it might have a side affect, for not taking needed medicine can cause problems, also.
I would even consider keeping a journal when starting any new med, saying, "Do I have any mental or physical changes since taking this med in week 1, 2, 3?"
And keep that medicine watch journal going for a month or two.
