Hi all,
Hope everyone has been doing well! It's been a while since I've been on here, primarily because I've been so busy and have been trying really hard to do distraction-based work to help my anxiety. I've still been doing neurofeedback which has been a tremendous help with physical symptoms of anxiety, and I've been working out 5x a week which has become the best form of therapy/antidepressants!
I wanted to *think* out loud about something and see if any of you have ever experienced something like this? I'm currently in Lubbock, TX (known as the windiest city in America) and the winds are up to 25-30mph here. They're also famous for their dirt/mud/dust. I'm staying on a farm which gets the brunt of whatever the wind whips up and my allergies are acting up a bit, but mostly my nostrils are just bone dry to almost where it's a little painful to inhale because it's so dry. I've noticed when I take a deep breath through my nostrils, there's almost like a chemically/Pine-Sol/Lysol faint smell? And no one is doing any cleaning around me, so I know that's not it. Only chemical I can think of would be my mother in law stripping the floors last night with a smelly chemical but the smell is long gone, unless I just have a supernatural ability to smell things that have disappeared. Naturally, I looked it up and the first thing that pops up is brain tumor, or temporal lobe epilepsy (which I don't have as far as I know *knocks on wood* but now I'm convinced I do have it). Anyway, this has me a little freaked out. There were other options like sinusitis due to allergies, onset of a migraine (which I do get) and even stress as a cause, but as a health anxiety sufferer, my mind goes to the worst place.
Sigh. Any insight would be appreciated.
Sending hugs to everyone here!!!
