Great advice from Superdan above...
…and as far as non Rx/supplement helps for good sleep go, you can try these good practices as well:
*Power down devices or use an amber screen on all backlight phones, tablets and computer. The blue light affects our circadian rhythm.
*Exercise daily, but not too close to bedtime.
*Soundwave Therapy (Binaural Beats) can help get the body/mind into a sleep state.
*Practicing coping skills such as Progressive Muscle Relaxation and Breathing Exercises and Meditation is a great bedtime regimen.
Wishing you the best on getting the sleep you need!

I struggled with insomnia for many years but now sleep well most nights
I've had success with all the tips mentioned here. Supplements did not work for me. I also purchased a pair of amber (blue light blocking) wraparound googles for about
$10 on Amazon and wear them about
2 hours prior to bedtime. I use a Brookstone sound machine at bedtime, usually the brown or white noise, but sometimes the sound of a stream or rain.
All the best to you.
