 I am a new member here, but have been looking all over for someone who has had these electrical shock like *zaps*. I am really kindof scared at this point and would love to have somone to talk to. Mine have lasted over 30 days. Can you post here and let me know what you did or email me?

Hi Kathleen,

Welcome to HW! I am just wondering, have you recently stopped taking an antidepressant? I know that the "zaps" are a common side effect of discontinuing SSRI type medication. Please let us know a little bit more about your situation, such as what meds you take, etc. I'm sure you will find a lot of support here. Of course, I would certainly recommend speaking with your doctor about this. (((Big Hugs))),

hi thanks!

No, no meds, unfortunatly then I would know what it was! I've had an MRI it's clean and an EEg that is abnormal but not epileptic, the MD thinks its a migraine, but it doesn't feel like a headache. I don't know what to do....:(

Kathleen-

I get those sometimes. Mine are because I've forgotten to take my antidepressant. If I don't take them around the same time every day my body lets me know it. Then I'll go take them. Are you taking anything like that or have you been taken off something?

Oh one more thing-I get migraines alot and had an abnormal MRI also but my zaps don't come with my migraines or even my headaches. But each one of us are different. Hope you find some answers.
