hey everyone, for the past two days i have had my heart racing, its anwhere from 90-120. I panicked lastngiht and went to the ER, they put me on an EKG and all kinds of other stuff, said i was fine. I could see my heart slowing down. they let me out when i was 115 pulse. is it ok tohave this high of a pulse for a couple days, they said it was acute anxiety and that i was self brining on tarcardia. any advice?

Hi Shawn. I saw that no one has replied to your post as of yet. The only advice I can really give you is to find a good doctor and be completely honest with them. I went through the exact same thing, eventually undergoing all sorts of tests and wasting thousands of dollars on a cardiologist simply to be told the same thing. Anxiety/Panic Disorder can cause MANY strange physical symptoms, the racing heartbeat/shortness of breath and such being one of the main ones. Hi there sorry I ws not online too much yesterday had snow storm here what a day
Anyways YES you can control your breathing and bring on the Tachacardia (sp) by being acutely anxious and panicky
I am surprised however they did not give you something to help bring it to a normal or more normal range
Are you on meds for any of this at all
You must have had one dosey of a headache
I wish peeps with this ILLNESS were taken more seriously
A friend (schoolfriend) of hubby's just ended his life no one had a dang clue about anything wrong
More research and monies need to go into funding to help us here we are sick with real illnesses not just made up ones in our head
I would really also suggesst going to family doc for a complete exam
Tell him about you treatment and being sent home like that I know my doc would flip
You IMO were not taken seriously and that angers me to no end

I agree with everything Howlyncat said. People really look at us like, just get over it. A lot of the dr's don't even have the compassion to deal with it. 

I'm so sorry you are having to go thru this but just wanted to let you know you are not alone please post as often as you like and keep us updaten on how your doing.
