I have got a terrible stomach bug, but I'm stuck at work for another few hours.  I am sooooo anxious and shaking and scared I might vomit on a client (not a good sales tactic).  Does anyone else get super anxious when they are ill? Do you have any tips? I can't go home as no-one can cover and I desperatley need the money anyway.  I just don't know if I can do this for another two days(it's only thursday). Help!! eyes

'Vomit' is one of my 'new' ones LOL. Used to be just diarrhoea I used to panic about , I always have a bad tummy (probably partly to do with A/P) worried about making it to the bathroom , always carrying spare clothes. Now I seem to suffer from acid idigestion and on occasions (luckily at home) have vomited.

I always have a stash of Loperamide so I'm not running to the bathroom , and indigestion tablets for sickness - failing that I usually find once you've got the deed over and done with I feel alot better ( besides if anyone notices - your ill and you can't help it)

Ditto re: Mooney123's post.  Getting sick is like a phobia for me (namely vomiting).  If my stomach is upset I'm almost guaranteed to have anxiety.  I even get anxiety if I'm around someone else who's got an upset stomach!  Blech!

I've brought some anti-nauseants into work today.  Fortunately I held off the vomiting until I got home.  But I've had no sleep, am out of valium and look and feel like death warmed up.  I'm sorry to be such a big whinger but I feel like I'm about to burst into tears if anyone looks at me sideways today.  I just wish I didn't feel so darn scared of everything.  Thanks for the support guys.  I just needed some virtual empathy.

Thanks Janet....My boss just called and said she is working from home today.  Hip Hooray.  I can turn any shade of green I want now.  And only 5 hours left till I can go home to bed.  yeah

Sorry you are feeling so lousy. I must be the odd one out, when I get sick {which is often}, I don't notice my anxiety as much. Maybe the pain out weighs the anxiety. Feel better

I have other illnesses and I do get anxious about being sick I just freak about vommitting
It is a comedy gong show really ........have to have hair pulled back ....dentures out n nose plugged
OMG I am nuts lol
I get anxiuos about the crohns and other DD so sometime I find I am just ready to vomit whenever lol
usually can hold it til I get to washroom but NOT always
