Hi there! I understand EXACTLY what you are talking about
. I get that off and on as well. In fact, I had it today. It just feels like someone has their hand around your throat and they are pressing just SLIGHTLY. Like your throat is constricting, and you wont be able to swallow. I have gotten that soo many times. I KNOW that is from anxiety. When I get that now. I try, as hard as I can, to get my mind on something else right away..for ex: when that comes on..I immediately tell myself..it is a nervous reaction. I start to think about
a song that I LOVE and what the lyrics are..and CONCENTRATE on that. The more calm you can muster...the faster that feeling will go away! I know that is hard to do at times...but believe me it works. It is scarey, I know, because you feel like at any moment you wont be able to breath, or swallow. But remember..FEELING like something and actually not being able to do it...are two different things. Tell yourself..I feel as though I cant swallow, but if I relax...I know I CAN swallow...therefore, it is my mind that is making me feel this way.
I also had that underam pain you referred to. I had it yesterday..off and on in the afternoon. It starts right under my left arm, beside my left breast, and goes sort of around and under my arm. Not quite up in the pit...but just below it. It feels like a bad ache. It came on...lasted about 10 mins..then went away for about an hour and then came back again..off and on .Now today ....nothing. Havent had it at all.
