Paxil..............

So my pdoc upped my dose of Paxil to 75mg to see if I do better on a higher dose. How long before I should know if it'll make a difference???

You may have to give it 6-8 weeks, assuming you can tolerate a dose that high. My experience has been once you start going to very high SSRI doses, especially if you've been on a stable dose for a long time, the med is pooping out.

Give it time and see what happens.

How long have you been on Paxil? Most times when you have to go that high on one particular SSRI it might be advisable to try another. There are instances when one will work really well and then stop working for some reason. You might want to ask your DR. about this.

Does Paxil make you tired--particularly at a high dosage? I understand that doses are different just as people are different but I was on 20ml Paxil ( I am 150lbs with a fast metabolism if that means anything) and attack and anxiety free for 2--3 months but was always so tired and lazy and my daily living standards dropped (didn't care if the dishes were pilled in the sink and the living room was wiped out despite haveing 'relaxed' standards to begin with).
I was constantly cruising for an excuse to go lay down and sleep if I could, it was overwhelming sometimes. My doc dropped my meds to 15ml and am slowly coming out of my doldrums but are more aware of my bodily reactions that I associate with anxiety and panic attacks than when I was on 20ml--what a perdicament.
Anyway back to you---how are you coping energy wise--do you feel/operate different than when you were on your last dose and/or med?
