So as most of you know I work in the ER at a really big hospital in downtown. I am okay to cope with the things that go on there and only when I get home do I actually think about anything from the day. I think once the adreniline wears off my anxiety shots up. Anyway, today I'm in the elevator going up to a financial office to get some information on retirement plans and the guy I'm standing next to has a heart attack. Its only me and him in the elevator so I do whats required until EMS arrives. Even though I have done this countless times before, for some reason this time really freaked me out. I have taken an ativan and thats not even working. Having a heart attack is my biggest fear. I think I'm a wee bit obsessed when it comes to the heart. Anyhow, just wanted to share with people that might understand this and could give me some insight on why that bothered me so much more than it usually does?
