Now when I started worrying it was because I have been having leg pain...muscle pain(don't know what from...maybe muscle tension) and now I've noticed I feel jittery and have had a muscle in my foot right above my small toe twitching for about 1.5 wks. I am so worried about a muscle disease. Does anyone else experience twitching? I have been on my zoloft for about 4.5 wks now and I'm still worrying. I sometimes take a little more or less of it each day...could this effect anything? Sometimes I up it from 50 - 100 on the dosage. Thanks for any help!

if you stop worrying and pay less attention to your body it will probably stop

massage the area

if its a cramp, quinnine tablets aew often prescribed

Yes.

I have occasional twitches and spasms across my entire body and an almost permanent strained feeling in my right calf, I have also had tremors in the past (along with a whole host of other symptoms) Although I haven't had any neuro tests done my doctor reckoned it was most likely anxiety. I'm sure I've heard people on here who have had MRIs etc (therefore ruling out any physical neurological coniditons) talking about similar stuff. It seems to be quite common, in fact the first page I found when I googled anxiety symptoms reads

"Anxiety is often accompanied by physical symptoms, including:

Twitching or trembling
Muscle tension, headaches
Sweating
Dry mouth, difficulty swallowing
Abdominal pain (may be the only symptom of stress, especially in a child) "

But there seem to be many other weird and (not so) wonderful apparently physical symptoms it can produce. This doesn't stop me worrying about stuff, but it does mean the overwhelming chances are that it's anxiety especially if like me you know you have experienced anxiety.

Hi Jen, I get muscle spasms and twitches a lot and at first I got really worried about it. Anxiety can cause this and so can anti depressant meds when you first start taking them. I had it for a few months and then it went away. It really worried me but then I soon realised it was nothing to worry about . It really is not a good idea to be changing the dose of your med without a doctors advice as it won't help you. You need to stick woith the prescribed dosage until changed by your doctor. Swapping doses won't actually make you feel better. Talk to your doctor about the twitching if you are still concerned but it should go away. Take care and post gain, let us know how you are doing.

I ywas going to delete your other thread as it is the same as this basically except for the fact of the having 5 kids in 7 yrs? As Vic pointed out just stick to this thread regarding these problems and hit post rely or quick reply and it will stay on here okay
Glad to have you aboard and I TOTALLY agree with Victoria not good to be playing about with your meds .......Please do see your doc and see what dosage is right for you this could be causing most if not all your problems in my opinion
