jobs?

Hi there, it is me again. Just wondering about others is my situation about employment. I have not had a job for a long time and I have no way to support myself. I am living with my parents right now and I need experience in the work force. I just don't know how to do it. Is there places that I can go to for this? Please let me know if you have any advice on this... Thank-you...

I would try the temporary agencies as freezinginAK suggested. Careerbuilder and Monster websites are also good for job looking. I hope you find something soon.

Well, forgive me if this comes out the wrong way...but you could try being like a domestic type person. I mean, that would be a low stress job and you could work on your own instead of having the pressures that come with an office. I know it's menial, but it might be a way to ease yourself back into the working world. Just for a couple months. Then, as your more used to getting out and doing stuff then you could take on an office-type job.

The only negatives I see about the temp agencies is that, well, there's no stability. And it's all going to be office work. If that doesn't bother you, they sometimes offer benefits and that's a big plus. My dad has used temps before...sometimes they're a good solution for small businesses. Anyway, he kept a couple of those people on permanently. So it's not a bad idea at all if you think you can handle the office environment and quick transitions.

Good luck. I'm either going to be hitting the job market soon or I may take over part of my dad's business. Either way it's going to be stressful, but I'm trying to look at it like a positive thing (change is good, after all). Good luck to you and let us know how it goes.
