This is really strange. Typically someone gets anxious when something is planned in the future whether its going to a birthday party, lunch date with a friend, plans to go shopping with the family, just PLANS in general. But have you heard of anxiety when you have nothing planned?
I am going nuts and very restless because for once in a long time... there is nothing in my calendar for the next few weeks besides a few doctor appointments. I'm going mad and getting panicky about it. I have no idea why I feel like this, it doesn't make sense. Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to resting this weekend which I desperately need.
Anybody else ever feel like this?
Haha. YES.
When my work slows down I have a hard time keeping things under control. I cannot stand having to "look busy" or fake anything. I'm a consultant and we're officing with our client. The contract gives them a pretty good amount of say about
how many people we can staff, so the culture around my job is one that everyone fears playing solitaire, surfing the net, etc. If there's nothing to do, it's hard to waste time. I'm lucky in that my particular role requires me to be out of the office a lot, so when work is light, I usually just leave. I'll work for home, and if there's nothing to do I'll just bill the time anyway. haha.
