I read one of your posts saying that you were scared to death about developing schizophrenia! (sorry to single you out lol!)

I am the EXACT same way, and i dont even know why I am worrying about it! I am constanly fearing hearing or seeing something that isnt there, and sometimes i even get freaked out by my own random thoughts, thinking that they are voices!!! ***?!! They are definetely coming from me, but random and it freaks me out!!

How did you get over it??

I had severe anxiety for many years, then got better and ran an anxiety self help group for years

I never heard of any anxiety or panic disorder sufferer who got schizophrenia

the 2 disorders arent related

the psychiatrists diagnosing manual has them in separate chapters, also

THE DSM is used in most countries and is worth looking at, its written in plain ( american english) and may be found in medical librarys, etc the current edition is the DSM4 TR ( silver grey cover) but earlier editions are of interest also

do you think my extreme fear and anxiety about becoming a schizophrenic is making me more sensitive in thinking that my thoughts are auditory hallucinations??

I mean when I hear a thought, I can usually make it in anybodys voice that i know, and I know it is coming from me (for example I dont look around to see who said it), but could it be my anxiety thats making it seem like they are halucinations?? My rational mind knows they are my thoughts, even if they are completely random and out of the bue thype thoughts.
