Clonazepam

Hey,

I just started taking clonazepam for panic.  I only take 0.5mg when I am feeling symptoms, and so far when I take one it is making me feel sick to my stomach when I take it. 

I had been on Lorazepam for the past 7 years (taking 1mg only when feeling sypmtoms) and now have started this.  I'm wondering, am I feeling icky just b/c I'm just starting this med...?

As it turns out, the Lorazepam was starting to do the same thing w/me (nausea) hence, the switch to Clonazepam.  I know they're both benzos...It would be nice if it would just make the panic go away.  The Lorazepam worked great for years, the nausea only started with it a few months ago...Ugh...Anyway, thanks again for your reply.

Nausea with Clonazepam is extremely rare, statistically speaking. I'm very prone to nausea side effects on meds and Clonazepam has never bothered me a bit. Are you sure there's not something else going on?

It's possible that's what is causing it but it would just be very rare. Do give it a little time to go away. Maybe a week or so. If it hasn't gotten better then go back to the doc and explain it. In the meantime you could try taking it with an antacid, but it will decrease the med's effectiveness a little.
