Well, not only do I have breast cancer....having a mastectomy on my right breast.....I now have to worry about
a layoff coming up in August where my husband works. This would be the time for something like that to happen since we really need the insurance now.
I am trying to keep positive, but the anxiety creeps up on me before I know it. Just tired

Dear Suzy,
You have every right to be tired. The breast cancer alone is enough to set off anyone's anxiety and now a possible lay off.
My best advice is try to stay in the moment, not easy I know. Don't worry about
the lay off as it may not happen and when it does you will deal with it at that time.
For now take care of you and be in the best possible frame of mind going into surgery. You might talk with your physician about
an Rx to help you get through the anxiety pre-op unless you are already on a med.
Blessings to you and prayers for a good outcome.

I am on prozac, and it's a wonderful thing! LOL I know it's what is keeping me sane at the moment. I am doing better at thinking about
the "now" rather than the "what if tomorrow" ect.
If it wasn't for the insurance I wouldn't worry quite as much, but it's like a double whammy, cancer and possible layoff. YIKES>
Thanks for the reply Kitt

Thanks all. I know, one way or another, it will all work out. Maybe not the way I hope, but all I can do is go forward. I'm keeping up on my prozac and trying to not get obsessive about
all of this.

Mornin Suzy,
Hey I am proud of you. That is a wonderful attitude and we know you will hit some bumps, but we are your safety net so just keep on putting one foot in front of the other. You got it right!
Special hugs and prayers.

A few people have told me how "brave" I am with this, but honestly I don't see it that way. Just because I have cancer doesn't mean my family doesn't need me anymore, or that everything is now getting done all by it's self. I just tell myself I can handle this and move forward.
I can feel the anxiety creep up from time to time, so far I am keep it stable and remembering to focus on other things.
