Most anxiety sufferers don't laugh much. Most anxiety sufferers are too wound up in their own thoughts to see all the good and funny things around them.

Let’s change that. Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to look in the mirror and smile. Find the child within and let your self have some fun.

Tell us what you would like to be doing right now if you were a child again?

I would love to be a kid again and not have to pay bills. I would rather read nursery rhymes.................

I'd love nothing more than to go back to 1983, age 7, when I got my first good rock n' roll record (on vinyl, too). Van Halen's 1984. My mom bought it for me and totally regretted it.

I used to pretend I was Wonder Woman lol!  I loved that show.  I would spin around and pretend I would be in that magic outfit she would wear!  I can't believe I'm typing this.  I must admit I am a bit embarassed lol!

Also, I loved to play dress up with my Grandmom's costume jewely and fancy shoes.  I would love to just go back and do that all over again.

I would go to Santa Cruz again with my Mom and Dad. We went every summer.

 

My Dad & I would be riding the Big Dipper rollercoaster over and over again just like when I was little, probably about 10 years old. My Mom was always in disbelief how many times we could ride that thing. This was before my dad got cancer, when everything was so care free. No worries at all.

 

Every time the ride ended, my dad would say "are you ready to go again" and we would get back in line. My mom always had a huge smile on her face shaking her head.

 

That is one of my most favorite memories and the one I would love to live over again.

The only time I watch anything other than something educational, on TV, Is when I watch a comedy. I love to laugh, and I got immediate and extended family and kids to call on - but that's a bitter/sweet thing because I fell bad that I don't use them consistently.
While I subscribe, in some cases, to the "Just Do It" wisdom, I'm dying inside because people always remark; "I don't understand, your so this and that, I wish I had your ... " you know? That's killing me twofold.

I would love to be in the ocean with my dad. He taught me how to surf at an early age and for years we would spend many days out in the water together. We would spend the entire day at the beach, and every summer we would spend an entire week surfing somewhere new. Well, i guess that not funny, but it sure was fun!!!

  Geeessss Kitt you are making me feel old as I remember all those things lol even though I was born in the early 60's but I have to say that I loved the old muscle cars back then, getting my first dirt bike and getting into racing motocross but I really miss the time just camping with my Dad and fishing new places.

you name it I loved it .......sometimes if I am feeling okay ( Cait thinks I need to be boxed up ) I will sing loud and so silly *BTW I sound like a cat withy tail caught in door ......

Awwwwwwwww Lyn,

I remember all those things too and I loved my clamp on roller skates ! I loved to swing, we would go to the park right next to the bakery and swing and horse around all day.  The smell of the bread baking was mouth watering.

Hi.  Extremely good point and post.  I can't remember this entire summer that I had one heck of a good laugh.  Even when I had my first full blown mental breakdown and ended up in the hospital for 3 weeks I did not laugh.  When I came home, I still didn't laugh.

If anyone here is having a hard time laughing, I highly recommend that you rent the movie "Airplane".  Oh yes, you will laugh at least once.  Trust me.

I love a good laugh. This might be off topic, but there is nothing better for me than really stupid comedies! I love'm. I love funny movies, people being silly, and laughing till it hurts. Laughing is contagious, so i try and hang out with my one friend when i'm blue cause he is a laughing machine. I just look at the guy and laugh, then he'll laugh. Its great.
Some of the staple funny movies i like:
Anything with Owen Wilson ( zoolander, shanghai noon, shanghai knights, Wedding Crashers, Meet the Fockers, The Life Aquatic, Starsky & Hutch, The big Bounce, Meet the Parents, you me and dupree).
I like Chris tucker too. His movies are bad, but i like them... He's silly! ( Money Talks is always on cable)
I really like when he is teamed up with Jackie Chan. The Rush Hour movies are funny.
Vince Vaughn is funny too!
Oh and will farrell!!! Anchorman is a fav.
I also love stand up comedy. Brian Regan(sp?) is really funny. I like him cause he doesnt have to be dirty to be funny (even though i like dirty, so comedians depend on it). I also recently saw a George Lopez special on HBO that i thought was really funny too!...

I just like funny ( and i know i have bad taste, but i'm ok with that :) and funny = a good laugh and a good laugh = medicine for the soul...

I love laugh!

And Nick, just thinking about Airplane made me laugh out loud... I would love to quote some of the things the pilot says to the kid, but its inappropriate for this board... :D hhehehehehehehe!!!!

I just caught Steve Martin w. his "Special Purpose"- in "The JerK" , I think.
and I caught a Archie Bunker- the one where he got a blood transfusion for a Black Dr.? and he told Edith that she should be for-warned cuz he might to be some-kind-a NEW Lover now!-lol
I believe if people didn't take me so seriously, I'd have been a comic-instead of a musician:)

The Jerk is classic!!! so funny :D Mel is great too. History of the World used to be one of my favorites.
I also love the movie "The Party" with peter sellers. :D

OK this is funny. I am a bit late to replying about your toy list up there Kitt, but would you guys believe, I still have everything on that list, except for a hula hoop! I seriously do! And, I don't have them for my son, they are ALL MINE! Ha ha ha. That is too funny! Just had to comment on that!

I would love to be a child again as you dont have responsabilities,

Get lots of hugs and support from your parents.  (not that i did, but i would have to have different parents this time round)

 

Toys: 

 

I used to like the rubix cube.  I used to get frustrated with it so i used to peel off the coloured stickers and put them back on so all the same colour was together, and tell people i had done it properly all by myself!!!!!

 

Anyone else remember them?

Monopoly is still a very popular game, my kids loves it .........

Danxiety, I LOVE Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. They are great! Luke Wilson is really funny too. And Ben Stiller. I basically love that whole group, haha. Have you seen 'Made'? That one's fantastic. And if you haven't seen it you should pick up Bottlerocket, it's a Wes Anderson movie with both the Wilson brothers, so you know it's funny! :)
