The memories are coming back lol!

Does anyone remember Lite Brite?  The color pegs you would stick in the holes to make a picture.  How about Sit n Spin?  That didn't last to long with me.  I would get sick to my stomach on that. 

Grumpy Old Men....Just watched that about 2 weeks ago.

It's one of my hubby's favorites...we watch it everytime it comes on!

I love horror movies.  Especially the classics.

Psycho, The Birds, Halloween, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Masacre...I could on!

(Hope I'm not scarring anyone LOL!)

Oh yes Mary ,

I remember the horror shows, My favorite: The Halloween Series.  Micheal Meyers was my favorite horror hero...............or monster.  He had Anxiety I think and OCD.

There were a total of 9 in the Halloween Series.  I loved to watch them on Halloween Night.................

Hi.  If I could go back to when I was around 7 or 8 years old, I would graba large shower towel and tuck some of the towel in the back of my t-shirt coller.  I would run around the house and backyard pretending to be Superman.  Hey wait, maybe I will go ahead a do it today now that I am 36.  What's the worst that could happen when my neighbors see me do that?

I used to use an old lace table cloth and play bride when I was 8 or so.

Then there were the days we played school and I got to be Sister Mary Show No Mercy. I went to Catholic school for so long it got to be a habit to play nun.  LOL

Hi Kitt.  I actaully did just that last night and my neighbors didn't say anything....lol. 

There's nothing wrong to play a nun.  Sounds like fun if I was a female.

we had a lot of toys growing up, fun ones you could buy at stores (namely Breyer brand plastic horses, super bounce balls, and silly putty) but the best were the ones that my grandpa made for us, the ones that were the most fun and by no means safe. There was our tree house (the real kind, no latter you realy had to climb the tree) a play house (old converted corn crib with rooftop deck and slide coming down) and the see-saw that my sister and i made out of an old barrel racing barrel that we found around the farm (my sister was, and still is a big time horse rider) and some kind of wood that we found in my grandpa's wood shop.

That was great, I forgot about the see-saw. Cool.  Don't forget the Radio Flyer Wagons and the Schwinn Bicycles.  Oh the skinned knees from learning to ride a two wheeler.

All you guys that are feeling so alone on the week-end........be a kid again and do something silly.

Go to a park and go down a slide, swing in a swing.

Have some fun, smile, laugh and you are bound to feel better. You might see me in the park. :)

I still love to go and get on the swing and get as high as I can up in the air and just look at the clouds ......looking for animals or clouds that remind me of something or someone .......

 

That was one and still is my fav thing to do and I dont care if I am 53 I LOVEE IT

 

 HOP scotch......my next fav thing and dang I was good .........

 

Jacks do any of you remember jacks ??

 

  Twister I use to love playing that and now we ( cait n I ) play Canadian Version of Monopoly and Scrabble together ......Normal got them last time she was here for us all ..........

Last night Cait and her friend Kelsey and I were skipping down the street .......forgot I was not in small town lol and got some weird looks BUT I had a blast and so did the girls so nono  who cares about the looks as long as we had fun right

I know that Normal ( michelle former mod n adopted daughter) is right now on her way from Jersey to my place and we have plans to go rollerskating...............rock climbing and just do alot of fun things and I am getting a skipping rope I KNOW I still know how to do double dutch and all so it should be a blast from the past ............

can't think of childhood stuff, but i'm still like a kid and i did somthing funny yesterday. There was a big chair with wheels in someone's garbage and it wasn't dirty or anthing it was perfectly good just that somone didn't want it anymore, and i've been looking to buy a big chair like this so i decided to take it home. I don't have a car or anything so i just started to push it down the sidewalk and there were only a few blocks to home but it was all down hill and there were no cars so all i could think was that no one was looking so i had to jump on and ride this big desk chair down the middle of the road so i did. It was certinly a lot of fun, and if anyone saw i'm sure they are telling someone now.

Way to Go, you get first place this week in the fun things we do.

Alright, yes as a nurse we have played with the wheel chairs, nothing like having another nurse push you down a long hallway in a wheel chair.  No offense to people who are wheel chair bound.

Desk chairs, in my office at work I would give my chair a push, put my feet up and fly over to my computer.  Saved wear and tear on my shoes. J

Hey All,

How about the county fairs.............it is that time of year.  I loved the county fair and the ferris wheel.  The foot long hot dogs and the stock car races.  Carmel apples, yum.

I loved the smells of cotton candy and popcorn.

Trying to win the Big Teddy Bear by throwing darts at balloons.  The fortune teller and the Fun House with the mirror that made you look tall and thin.

The milk shakes at the Dairy Barn.  Anyone want to go to the fair with me?

Come on Lyn,  AK, Debasser, Tammy, Dan, Mary Sunshine, AntWat,  Angel, all of you and all the newbies too, jump on board. Have some fun. JJ

You really got them going this time.  My answer-fishing with my Granddad.  He's been gone over 20 years now, but why has it also been years since I went fishing, and I live about 5 minutes from the bay?  So guys, go back and read what you posted and ask yourself, couldn't I be doing that or something like it now instead of just remembering and wishing?  I think that I got your point.  Thanks.

Nice to hear from you and I think muscle cars take you back to your childhood too.

I always loved to drive the Chev 409 with 4 speed of course. That tells my age..............if I had one now, I would be out crusing.

Drove your Chevy to the leevee?  You still can.  It may have two wheels now, but to you it will be a '62 bubbletop with buckets and you're 16.  Stop by the drive-in for a bag of burgers, onion rings and some large shakes.  Enjoy.

Well, as the saying goes laughter is the best medicine and I have a good chuckle for you guys, I laughed so hard at what I did that all the feelings of sadness went away for a while.

Last Friday at work, I work in a call center at around 6:30PM, a little wisp of a girl, 5'3" 100 lbs or so asked me if I would mind stepping on her back with my bear feet. This mind you in front of a room full of our coworkers. My comment to her was are you kidding "You want a 215 lb woman stepping on your back, and she replied sure her boyfriend who weighs more than I do does it all the time to realign her back. Picture this, She lies flat on the floor on her stomach, I take my shoes off and proceed to step across her back hearing her spine go back into place. She is laughing hysterically, I am laughing hysterically as I am stepping away and two or three of our coworkers were snapping pictures on there cellphone cameras. After I finished witih her back another woman much larger than me decided that she wanted me to do the same thing to her, only she started screaming that I was killing her has her bust was getting crushed to the floor as I was stepping away. All of us that night on that shift couldn't stop laughing for hours, here I am a 55 year old women acting totally out of character and giving everyone a good laugh. Everyone is still talking about this it happened over a week ago. The moral of all this is not to take life so seriously and do something fun. It really does help with the anxiety and panic attacks.

Kitt, I'm going to the fair with ya!  LOL!

I was on vacation last week with my family in Wildwood, New Jersey.

It feels like a county fair only bigger!  All the food and rides......such a great time!  :-)

Lyn, I remember jacks.

Me and my Mom would sit on the kitchen floor (because of the hard floor)  and play jacks all the time when I was little.  She was great at it.  I know she would make me win.  That was my Mom for ya!  yeah
