with this new hurricane coming i'm scared we still haven't totally got our place together since rita, emotionally my heart has been racing, my new doctor  decided to keep on zyprexa because my nervousness came back since word of the storm, and he had to put on another heart medicine for high blood pressure, i hope it doesn't come here, i'm not mentally ready for another one ,  i'm trying to hold together. sad

Hey there, Hugs.  You have every right to have a racing heart at the thought of a hurricane. We notherners get worried as soon as we hear of the next one as we worry about what is going to happen and by golly we have a lot of friends and relatives in the target areas. You are family here.

Please know you are thought of and I pray this storm will spare everyone.

I'd say your reaction is normal given what you've already been through and may be facing again.  I'll be praying as well that this storm misses you!  Keep us updated!

last time we had one we stayed thinking we'ed be o.k. it was 12 hours of terror, laying there waiting to die, i will never go through that again, i'm going as far as i can go , sad thing is i hope we can get help this time last time we got none, no goverment help, we were in a mandatory evactuation area but at least a few hour away from the gulf, stupid i know but we had horses and we were scared they would get out, well we have no horses now, that was hard on me to let them go , but they held us done, now we can leave, i just hope we're spared i used to like summers now i don't, i need to move up north.

Aw Machelle

Minnesota is beautiful but we have bridges collapse and tornadoes and blizzards.......otherwise it is just fine.

Your hurricanes do so much damage at one time that it makes it more scary.
