Does prozac usually make you sleepy?

When is the best time of day to take it?

Prozac is usually taken in the morning. "Sleepy" is not listed as a side effect in the PDR (Physician's Desk Reference).

Always take your medications according to your physicians instructions and if you have a question about side effects your pharmacy should have provided you with a patient education sheet when you were prescribed the med. You may always check with your pharmacist.

Yes, your answer is better than the pharmacy printout by far. I'm taking it in the morning but by noon again today, I was ready to sleep. Which isn't what I want, I'm totally trying to stay away from being sleepy during the days.

So I guess I should stop taking it at night! I have been having trouble sleeping too! On my prescription it says to take it at bedtime. I guess my MD made an error. lol.

Ahh the fun we have. Wait, but I take the wellbutrin in the morning. Do you think that's too much at one time? My neurotransmitters may just pack up and leave. :-)
