Effexor XR and headaches

I started on the 75 mg dosage from 37.5 mg dosage on Friday.  I have noticed since upping the dose, I have had a pretty constant headache.  It isn't horrible, but it's there, and it's annoying.  Is this a side effect that comes  along with the Effexor XR, and if so, will it go away, or should I talk to my pdoc about it, tomorrow morning at my appointment? Other than the headache, and feeling a bit more tired than normal, I am feeling pretty good.  I do have less of an appetite, but like I said before, on Lexapro, I had a huge appetite, so I am NOT complaining. Thanks guys for the thoughts!

I was wondering how you were doing with the Effexor...I actually posted a reply on your other thread.  When I started the Effexor, I don't recall having headaches, but that is just me.  Could be a side effect, like you said, talk to your doc tomorrow about it.  If it started after the increase, my guess would be it is your body adjusting to the med.  Hope all continues to go well with you and the Effexor.

Thanks sylk for wondering about me!!! Actually, my appointment is Tuesday...thank goodness I looked at my calendar, or else I would have went today and looked foolish! LOL. I have no idea why I kept thinking it was today...DUH. Anyway, I am going to bring it up to her. Like I said though, other than a few MINOR things, I am feeling really good about it. On Saturday, I even took a one hour car trip to visit my grandparents grave. Mind you, I was agoraphobic, overcame that, but was only able to stay in my neighbrohood like, so that big car trip was HUGE for me. I am feeling so much like the old me, it is AMAZING!

Hooray for you!  I am so proud!!!  That is a huge accomplishment...I remember when I was agoraphobic and overcame it - it is a big, big deal!!!  You are on your way to becoming your old self again...keep with the Effexor and you will do fine...I am confident!!

Lol, yeah good thing you looked at the calendar for your appt!  You would have wasted gas and time...and gas is too expensive to be wasting!!  Well, keep us posted and hope your appt. goes well tomorrow!
