Hi everybody

Anybody tried St John's wort? Did it help?

I just started to take it today and it says I should take 1-3pills a day. How many should I take each day?

Also could you recommend other herbal supplements that really worked well?

I've taken SJW in the past and it really does help take some of the blues away. For me, it took about 2 weeks for it to start working. And you should always follow the directions on the bottle. I was taking 3 a day. One thing about SJW though is that you are having any surgeries in the future, you have to stop this 2 weeks before your surgery. This includes any major dental work such as root canals or tooth extractions. I think has something to do with blood clotting or increase of bleeding.

My own question..........do you take these supplements with presciption meds or alone? I have little knowledge of this herbal treatment.

Kitt, I think that SJW has to be taken by itself . I remember reading somewhere that using SJW in conjunction with AD's that it can have an adverse reaction.
