I've found that your body gets used to any muscle relaxer and you don't get sleepy after a while. At least that's the way it has been for me. Baclofen used to make me need to sleep almost immediately...
Also, I can't switch because I just submitted FMLA paperwork to him so I can't switch. Ugh....
I'd consider trying yet another doc, but with Group Health choices here, they all seem to suck. Also, GH makes you see your primary doc for fibro care. The rheumatologist wasn't good and the pain doc...
Thank you for your response. I just ordered magnesium malate after my appt. (that wasn't even a supplement he suggested) and am hoping that will help. I hope it helps you!...
Well, I just had my appt. and my doc refused me a prescription of Tramadol due to "safety reasons." He referred me to a psychiatrist for my anxiety. Hello...he should try living with pain every...
Hmm...I wonder why that is? I've always read that it isn't a narcotic....
I'm on venlafaxine. There's a risk of seizure if you take both....
He told me previously that I couldn't take it because it's contraindicated to take it with antidepressants. I emailed him and said I want to get off that anyway. It's supposed to help with fibro...
I'm sorry you are hurting. I'd ask your doc for a referral to a pain doc. That's who finally diagnosed me....
Thank you all for sharing your experiences. I'm sorry you are in pain, but it feels nice to know I'm not alone....
...but I've never had a lapse. Constant spinal pain for over 4 years, chronic fatigue and on and on. Does anyone else experience this?...
I usually feel flu-like. Constant aches, low grade fever much of the time, congestion, regular headaches and nonstop fatigue....
I agree with what others have posted. Your doctor should give you a referral simply because you asked for it! I used to have a doctor who was pretty useless in helping me most of the time and even...
I have had the same issue with every AD I've been on. I'm currently on Venlafaxine to help with depression and fibromyalgia symptoms. I hoped this one might be different, but nope. I've certainly...
Thank you so much, Scaredy Cat. I truly appreciate your thoughts and prayers about my mom. I'll look into Vistaril. :) Take care. :)...
Thanks for your responses. I think my doc just doesn't think longterm use is a good idea. I've been on it for 2-3 years now. I just wish there were a non-benzo medication that helped the way benzos...
...and I'm not happy about it. I'm on Venlaxafine for depression and fibro, but it doesn't help with anxiety. I've tried other antidepressants that are supposed to help with anxiety, but they didn't....
Hi. I've been on many antidepressants and they all have had those kinds of side effects for me. Not fun at all. :(...
You aren't a failure. :) You're doing what you can to make it through the day. I beat myself up too, but I'm working on being kinder to myself and knowing that I'm doing the best I can. That's all we...
I get that feeling often. I'm sorry you're going through it, too. There are plenty of days where nothing specifically is bothering me per se, but I don't feel "right." I'm at work but am definitely...
Hi everyone. I've posted on the fibromyalgia forum, but had no idea this anxiety forum was here. I'm so happy it is! I've had anxiety for years. I'm fine 95% of the time at home, but Bam! As soon as...
I've never tried Lexapro. I felt hopeful when reading that it's helped people so I looked it up. I saw that it can cause weight gain, which completely freaks me out. Has anyone taking it experienced...
Hi spacecadet, The fatigue is one of the worst parts of this disease for me, too. I work hard, travel 3 hours a day to get to/from work, and have 5 kids. I look forward to the weekends, but when they...
Hi Tom, I've wondered about the whole "Fibro is not progressive," too. My pain started with a car wreck over four years ago and it was assumed my pain was from spinal arthritis. Then eventually it...
Hi Michael1968. Thank you for your kind words. :) You know, that's a great idea about a Nurse Practitioner. When I've seen them, I've almost always found them more attentive and compassionate than...
Hi TheFifthElement! Thanks for your reply. I've never heard of JC Tonic. I'll look into that! The Rheumatologist I was referred to was ignorant. She told me that because I could touch my toes I...
Thanks for taking the time to respond! Yes, I do need to lighten my load. I keep looking for jobs closer to home. Most of the jobs in my field are in Seattle, where I currently work. I'll keep...
Thanks for your reply, getting by. I'll look into those meds! Definitely worth a shot!...
I took it before my fibro diagnosis (I also have spinal arthritis) and it did not help me at all....
Thanks for your reply. :) I've been on Citalopram for a year or more now but it doesn't seem to be helping right now. It seemed to be helping before because my depression was in partial remission. I...
Hi everyone. I've been in constant pain for 4 years and like most if not all of you, saw doctor after doctor before finally getting an accurate diagnosis. We all thought my pain was from spinal...
