Not fibromyalgia related but October 10 I about kicked off from heart mess. Immediately needed pacemaker 100% dependency and main artery 90% block so needed stent too! Still peaked (y’all know what...
Along with The Mess😩, I also have had PTSD since Vietnam days, just didn't know about both until recently. I thought every human felt this way! Glad they don't, but like y'all, I have no idea what...
FV (mind if I call you FV?), welcome from an old MVV (male Vietnam vet). I've had The Mess® For over 40 years, but only diagnosed by VA hospital doc about 6 years ago. Last year after having a heart...
I'm not glad you have chills Bonzo, but it helps me a bit to know I'm not the only one! Also, like someone said, sometimes taking a shower water hitting my skin gives me chills. I've said it many...
Wow Anna, thread topic sounds just like me. Feel like I ain't long for this old world. Not as in this week maybe, but as in, how can a person keep on? Y'all know. Also, I'm service connected disabled...
...someone touching my arm is painful. Sheets hurt my body touching me. Fog....fog...fog...frog...frog... Gloom, despair, and agony on me. Deep dark depression, excessive misery. Frustrated because...
Oh me, tramadol, gabapentin, cymbalta, Percocet, I have them all. But only left over Percocet since they don't give that now and tramadol. I use them if I'm having one of my semi BAD days. On my BAD...
Doc just gave me this. I only took it two times, made me dizzy, and I too was afraid to take it. I think I'll go try one right now, before I go to bed. She has me on three a day... I won't take that...
Whew, some of the docs! VA cardiology doc told me about fibromyalgia when I told him I had it, "That's the kind of information we throw in the trash." Jerks exact words. Three young interns were...
Spike, you nailed it. My experience at least kind of mirrors what you said. I call it The Mess. Wish I didn't have to say it, but welcome....
I am introvert. Being around people wears me out. But, I need interaction too. And, as y'all know, no one understands or can understand The Mess unless they have it....
I don't think the amount I took could really be called drinking, even though that is the method of getting it into my system. 1/2 cup, one time at night? For three nights total. All I'm saying is...
I also take tramadol, one 50MG every morning first thing. Then at night, one duckaluckalene (generic cymbalta), 30MG. If I run out of either one of those, I'm in for a worse day coming. Even taking...
I also get low fever feeling days. Probably a few times a month for me. Usually, I just lay down and rest, take a nap. It seems like just another one of the things we The Mess sufferers have to deal...
I haven't been on the site for a while, but while sitting at my computer, eating a yogurt, one of my MANY adrenaline rushes just came on me, so I came here, and lo and behold, your post is the first...
Well, this looks like another potential help med I canno' take! Thanks for the thread....
Oh well, I'm crazy as a bat. :turn: Anyway, wow, I have to say I was hit in the gut with a sucker punch. Blindsided. This call came yesterday from my doc's nurse. I have to say, I have been in a bit...
Sounds to me like it could from The Mess (aka, fibromyalgia). I've had a few of the symptoms you list. It is (or I am) crazy! I really don't think anybody except The Mess sufferers can relate to this...
I take one tramadol every morning, then a cymbalta (30 mg) at night. Seems to help... some. I've been on this routine about a year and half now....
I'm sorry to have to say, Welcome Malcolm. I've had fibro for over 40 years, since Vietnam days, but never knew what it was until a younger VA nurse practitioner had me diagnosed. All I can say, is...
Been there MANY times. I've been having a lot of consecutive wha' I call semi-bad days, and a couple of my "good" days. Before I knew my issue was fibromyalgia, I thought the way I felt was just part...
I've had that happen too. I surely understand how it is to have what I call one of my BAD DAYS. Hope you get over this one soon....
phix, I have that electric feeling all over a lot. I think it's just part of fibro mess for me. I've had that inside nervous feeling many years, before I was diagnosed with The Mess (wha' I call...
I live in Deep South (Georgia and Mississippi - not recommended), and weather sure affects my pain. I've lived in Japan longer than anywhere though, similar to southern weather. Been to Hawaii...
I've had endoscopy done 6 times. We lived in Japan about 30 years, first 5 I had was there. Bleeding ulcers, I almost kicked off from blood loss. Ambulance guys came quick, saved me life. Ok, y'all...
I have, wha' is it, omeprozol (?) or some such for stomach issues. In '03, I had bleeding ulcers on top of fibro mess, still have IBS, but it seems to have gotten a bit better some days. Hope you can...
One tramadol in morning, one 30 mg cymbalta at night is the med routine that helps me. Then, when I have a "bad" day, it's on to the old percocet. Not many of those though, maybe about 2-3 a month....
Good tips here. I've about quit telling "normal" people I have The Mess. They can't help that they canno' understand. I do wish there was a local The Mess group, I think. I don't know. The site here...
Thanks for that Sherrine. It is good to know that This Mess is not progressive, even though I am getting worse ): (: Which way is smilie? Ljm, I'm a high percentage disabled service connected Navy...
Yeah, if there were a cure, we'd all be in line! But, I might try anyway....
Thanks again! Christmas day, I caught flu! Took shot, but didn't work. Imagine, aching flu body on top of aching fibro body. Well, don't imagine too much, ye don't want to. Gloom, despair, agony on...
I've been taking generic cymbalta for three years now. Nurse practioner put me on it, said they had recently learned it helps fibro, which I can testify it does. Might help anxiety too, check with ye...
Thanks a lot! The cymbalta surely helps. A year ago, I ran out for a week - whew - that was a rough week! LJ, you're right about just knowing wha' ye have (as I get older, I'm talking like me Irish...
I just found this forum while searching one more time about this mess. Many years ago, I ate some algia trying to get fiber. Well, it turned into fibromyalgia. I have to joke to keep from going any...
