One of the best tests for B12 is an Active B12 test, which measures halotranscobalamin - this is the only form of B12 taken up and used by cells in the body. I'm not sure of the availability of this...
Traveler - the 2 places usually recommended for herbs are Napiers in Edinburgh and Bristol Botanicals....
I posted about this a while ago, as I, too, have always bought from iherb, who have now discontinued it. Feeling lost! It's crazy money on Amazon at the moment. I used to pay about £4.95 on iherb....
L'ornithine works well for me, to reduce brain ammonia....
Alka selzer gold is a real lifesaver for me. I'm in the UK, where it's not available, so I've always ordered from iherb. Iherb say it is now discontinued though. Help! Panic! There is some on ebay at...
No magic combi! Roxithromycin is a good macrolide as an alternative to azithromycin though. Horowitz makes brief mention in his book. I believe it's licenced here in Europe, but not in US - which is...
Also, Napiers in Edinburgh....
My IC was caused by Cpn (chlamydia pneumoniae) infection....
When I was in Italy in the summer, I was served gluten-free pasta at every meal. I never cheat on the gluten-free thing and Italy seemed to be very aware and obliging with my gluten-free...
I'd be interested, jennydancingfish! Thanks...
That's good to know that Dr J is definitely pulsing rifampicin. Most people here (UK) won't say. Thank you Girlie. Much appreciated....
Rifampicin is the one abx that I've always been told not to pulse because of the risk of resistance developing. I know Dr J's patient are not able to share details of their protocols, but someone has...
I'll just answer with regards Cpn (chlamydia pneumoniae), as that's what I know about. Dr Charles Stratton, who has studied Cpn extensively and devised the Cpn protocol at Vanderbilt University, has...
No, not tried those. Sorry! Yes, in UK. No, I used ArminLabs for testing. I didn't gave a doctor to sign the Igenex forms....
Is this what you are looking for: http://uk.iherb.com/Source-Naturals-L-Tryptophan-500-mg-60-Capsules/7276 If you order that and select 'global mail' for shipping (£2.88) - NOT DHL - the total is...
It's great to catch up with you, Flossie! If that other group you mention is LDUK, we may well have bumped into each other over there. x...
Bluelyme - just in case you haven't already found it, there's also lots of info about Cpn and MS on David Wheldon's own website: http://www.davidwheldon.co.uk/ms-treatment.html ...
Sunshine3 - I'm in the UK and my advice would be that you should seek as much treatment as possible in US before you go to Italy, as there is very little help available in Europe. All the expertise...
I've always been told that any slight reduction in absorption when taking with food is far outweighed by the importance of protecting our stomachs when we are taking these abx long-term....
Prayers and best wishes x...
There have been various rumours on the internet about this being a scam and in fact nothing to do with Dr K. This was posted yesterday, from a reputable source: Important from Dietrich Klinghardt:...
Just to mention - I love Diamataceous Earth, but it may interfere with medication, so should be taken at least 2 hours before or after. So your schedule, akreative, depends on what time breaky/meds...
I know this is an old post, but I just want to thank Garden Peace for posting the link to this book. The book is superb! I've just started homeopathic treatment, which is a completely new experience...
Thanks, dga5000, for the info. Much appreciated. And welcome to the forum!...
Thank you!...
Yabeeb - is the London Clinic able to prescribe, or do you need a prescription from another doctor to be treated there? Thank you!...
Great post, Kim. I'll have to get you to show me around Disney one day! x...
From my experience, eagle0eye, I'd say that if you think there is any possibility of it helping you, do it! 5 years ago, I'd reached the point where I could no longer walk unaided. At first I used a...
So happy to read your latest update. Always wishing you well....
Many thanks for posting the link. Much appreciated. Lots of good things to learn there. Ben Lynch is a good one to listen to for anyone interested in methylation....
This is the recent thread about yersinia, with lots of good info: http://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=3547795 ...
I love DE. I take mine when I wake up - and I wait a couple of hours before taking anything else. I use a heaped teaspoonful in a glass of water. It's a bit like drinking muddy water, but I...
I think a couple of people here have had bad experiences with using that website, Limeylyme. Perhaps best not to use it for now anyway, until there's a chance for you to get more feedback....
I take NAC as part of a Cpn protocol - it deals with the Elementary Body form of Cpn. It's good to continue to take NAC after treatment to prevent reinfection. I take 1200mg twice a day....
That's all very helpful information. Much appreciated. Thank you for posting. I've been concentrating on treating Cpn, then borrelia, now babesia. I've no idea which of my symptoms yersinia might be...
I'm not sure whether this is the site you mean, but it's my favourite: http://www.tiredoflyme.com/detox-methods.html I've been working my way through the suggestions!...
CarlG - what sort of glutathione do you take? I don't find the capsules do much for me, but the liposomal one (which I love) is very expensive. I'm in the UK as well. Glad to hear of your...
I've no idea, Girlie. That's a very good question. Elipot has been approved by FDA for testing for TB. Many doctors still do not seem to have heard of it though....
According to the lab, Elispot is highly sensitive and can detect even one single borrelia-reactive T cell in the sample. It's also very specific. It's being used a lot here, and many are testing...
Elispot looks at T cell activity, rather than antibodies - so the result is that there was no T cell activity to borrelia detected....
Unfortunately, we're very short of Lyme literate doctors in the UK and nothing available on the NHS. If you use Facebook, there is lots of info available in the Lyme Disease UK Discussion Group....
That sounds like an excellent plan, JessicaMommy. And yes, it's good to write everything down. Always best to start slowly, and to only start one new thing at a time. I LOVE burbur and pinella....
Sending hugs to Sillysheep. I'm cheering you both on. It does get easier x...
Great post, gkamom. Thank you for all that info. Very helpful....
I can have any combination of all of these choices, at any given time. Impossible for me to choose one, I'm afraid. Sorry....
I'd be inclined to settle on the detox herbs, and give those more time. You did start a lot all in one go - I know that sort of thing makes me feel bad. Then gradually add the banderol again - but...
I'm finding Cowden herbs very potent. More than I could ever have imagined possible. Very severe herx, even after 4 years on multiple abx. It's taken me over 3 months to tolerate 3 drops of Samanto...
Just my opinion, but I'm not convinced the petition will help the cause of Lyme in the UK. Surely it would be good to let him mix with some REAL Lyme disease doctors - he may well learn from them....
Yes, blue eyes here too....
