Hey there Mumbo, thanks for the reply. Sorry, it was a lymph node biopsy. He initially had a needle biopsy, which was inconclusive as to type of cancer. They then did a surgical biopsy. They didn't...
Hello everyone! I didn't know what to title this, so I just included some things that have been going on. We haven't been on here in a while as things had been going great. But, everything got turned...
Thanks for the replies. I plan on scouring this site today for any information on Pluvicto. Will being one of the few younger people with this diagnosis has definitely presented some challenges....
Wondering if anyone out there has experience with a good doctor for advanced PCa in the Denver area (or even within an hour or so). We are looking for someone that will be receptive to working with...
Hi there, I am new here, too. I post for my friend, Will, whose initial diagnosis was advanced prostate cancer (stage 4 with lymph and widespread bone involvement). He had just turned 40. I'm sorry...
Hi SteelGuy, - I definitely feel like we've already been making educated decisions based on research. I don't think either of us trust any doctor blindly (I work in healthcare, Haha). But, very good...
Thank you for the support, halbert! Will do!...
@Hawaii3654 That's amazing! And yes, your experience does give me hope! It's so nice to hear success stories! Thank you for sharing! Reese, for Will...
Thank you so much! I needed that. We’re doing our best! I already feel like I know more about prostate cancer than 99.9% of the population. Haha. Reese, for Will...
Thanks for the reply @Cyclone-ISU! The mayo consult will be with Dr. Kwon. We have been watching all his videos. That's half the reason I pushed for the scans, as they wanted scans for a consult....
Update: We had an appointment with a radiation oncologist yesterday and were pretty disappointed with it. IMO, the doctor seemed a little doom and gloom (as if we did not already know our situation)....
Thank you for the insight! Yes, I believe I have read through that thread. Reese, for Will...
We went in for the final chemo last week. However, Will has been tolerating it so well that he asked to do a few more treatments. Not sure most people ask for more chemo! His doctor approved 2 more...
Thanks for the message Wings of Eagles/Dan! So happy to hear you're doing well. Will definitely check out those threads. Will's last chemo is today, so I imagine Zytiga will start soon. Appreciate...
Excellent point! Will is probably due for a few of those… thanks! Reese, for Will...
Jim, yes, I think this is something we will definitely pursue. Thanks for the info. We’ll check it out! Appreciate the message! Reese, for Will...
Thank you so much for the message Cyclone-ISU. I've read several of your posts, as your situation seemed pretty similar. The fact that you are thriving definitely gives me hope. Seems like Will's...
Very good point, Pratoman. Thank you! The number of people on this forum that are managing to live with this, even at an advanced stage, is very encouraging. Will is extremely healthy otherwise...
Thank you so much! I'll check them out! Reese, for Will...
Dr. Graham seemed pretty knowledgeable, but I believe she largely specializes in research opportunities, none of which seem particularly promising for Will. Kaiser does not include CU in their plan,...
@Mumbo Yes, I am very glad we got in to see someone an Anschutz. We saw Dr. Graham and we are able to message her if needed. We have definitely thought about Mayo as Will has family in MN, but I...
I believe I have seen both of those user's posts, thanks! I will go back and check them out. It definitely gives me hope to see others doing well with a similar age/diagnosis! Reese...
Thanks @60Michael. I haven't found anyone quite as young as Will yet. Anyone out there younger than 40? The Gleason 9-10 group seems to have some good information on treatments. We are considering...
Hi everyone, my name is Reese and I am posting on behalf of my favorite person in the world, Will. He knows I am here and may join in under my login eventually. Will turned 40 in January and was...
