Has anyone tried the new drug Requip for RLS?

I was just curious how effective it was for those that have tried it.

My RLS is starting to act up again and in the past I was on many different meds that never worked. I also was getting cortizone injections in my knees for it. It went away for a long time. In the mean time I had seen the commericials for Requip. So now that it is becoming an issue for me again, I just wanted to hear some feedback on the drugs effectiveness for those that had or are using it.

I use requip and love it!  I do not use it every day, only when I need it.  It works within 15 minutes.  Some days I use 2 tablets.  My doc prescribed 1 1/2 tabs a day.  I don't like to take meds every day unless I need them.  I am already taking 6 medications.

Needing requip seams to go in cycles.  I can do without for 4 or 5 weeks, then, I need them again.  Maybe it has to do with how active I am.  With COPD, sometimes I get very INactive because of the disease.

Hi teaman,

Thanks for your reply. I would love to be able to take it as needed as well. I'm also on a lot of other medications and don't want to add to the list, especially since my RLS is an on/off situation for me. I still can't pinpoint what makes it come on.

I hope I hear of more positive replies! Thanks again!
