Has anyone ever heard of using Lyrica for treatment of PA?

I'm brand new to this site and am so excited to have found it.  That said, I have a concern.  To make the story as short as possible I had some awful experiences with my last rhumatologist and have landed in a pain management doctor's office.  On my first visit I requested that I not be given anything that was possibly habit forming and I competely expected Ebrel or Humira, but he gave me Lyrica.  I've researched it A LOT and nowhere have I found any indication that this medication is for PA.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I've been dealing with this disease for over 10 years (althought I've done it all the wrong ways and am trying for my son's sake to keep myself as well as possisble). 

As I said any help at all, I would be greatful for.  Thank you so much in advance!

Thank you for the offer to help! I really am trying to find the right medications to help me, but this new doctor is Psyciatrist as well as a Pain Managment Spedialist, but so far all the meds he's prescribed seem to be for something other than what I need it for. I'm just a little concerned, especially after finding out the possible side effects.

First let me say, thank you for looking for me. I really appreciate it. Please keep in mind that I mentioned earlier that I was taking care of the pain the WRONG way. I was originally put on Tramadol (8 yrs ago?) I didn't want anything "habit forming" and that was supposed to be safe. Not so. I eventually found myself taking too much and went to Darvocet and Soma. I ended up taking too much and had two seizures as a result (did you know Tramodol causes seizures? so does stopping Darvocet cold. I never knew that. Now I'm rather wary of new medicines) Anyway, I'm completely clean, I'm taking Suboxone, which really didn't help with the pain, so this new doctor added the Lyrica. I was also given Seroquel for insomnia. Now I was pretty worried about that one as well, as I am not bipolar or anything else that is usually written for, BUT I finally did find proof that it is often used for insomnia. So: Suboxone, Lyrica, seroquel, Prednisone on occasion, Phenegren, Naproxen, and Norvasc.
