Starting Orencia and need information...

Howdy all! Started Orencia, but am curious. Those of you who are on Orencia, how long did it take before you noticed improvement with you RA? I have heard everything from 3-6 months before any benefits. Who can tell me their story...

Sorry that no one has answered you it may be that not too many of us have been on orencia. Hopefully someone will come along with some info.

I don't know of anyone on this forum that is on Orencia.. hang in there, someone will be along soon hopefully..

Hi. I have not been here for awhile, but I hope to change that. Anyway, my rheumy took me off Enbrel this past Monday. He wants me to try Ornecia or Rituxan. Depending on which one my insurace will approve, will be the one I take. I really get upset that my insurance has control of my life. However, I am like you and would appreciate any advice about either one of these drugs.

Well, I called my insurance today and they informed me that Orencia or rituxan will not be covered under my plan. Does anyone have any other ideas what the doctor will do next. I have already been on Enbrel, Plaquenil, Methotrexate, etc. He took me off the Enbrel due to an allergic reaction and off hte Plaquenil because I could not tell it was doing any good. I have been on the Plaquenil for over 4 years now. Anyway, I do not know what is next.
