Just diagnosed with OA - unable to take anti-inflammatories

Hi all   I have a quick question.  I just found out that I have OA in two of my fingers of my right hand.  I am unable to take anti-inflammatories due to my Ulcerative Colitis.  Is there another form of relief I can use?  I just got back from the doc and she had me do a wax dip and it sort of helped but I can't walk around all day with my hand in a vat of wax!  Do the otc creams really work for OA pain - such as Aspercream or BlueEmu?  I've tried the BlueEmu and it helps a bit but it's very short lasting.  Is there any other cream on the market that lasts longer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated since my right hand is my dominant hand and it makes doing things quite the challenge.

Thanks Ducky :) Yes, I've tried the Thermacare hand wraps but it's been a while so I may give that a go again. How long does the Australian Dream cream last? I am thinking about going out and buy the wax dip at Bed, Bath and Beyond to help with the morning pain and stiffness. It seems the mornings and the evenings are the worse time for me. So I may give that a go too.

I went out tonight and got the Australian Dream and you were right Ducky :) It does seem to work better then the BlueEmu. Plus for some reason, it is keeping my hands warm which is not only good for the ole joints but my Raynauds as well. I also hoping that when I get the wax dipper that it will help alleviate some of this horrible cuticle dryness I get!
