Started Orencia this week.

I am new to this forum. I am 36 years old and have had RA for 4 years and have taken just about everything out there with no luck. All the medications seemed to work at first but then became not so effective not to mention side effects from some of them.....scary
Well my Rheumy started me on Orencia this week and I received my first infusion this past Wed. I did fairly well with the infusion but several hours later I had a slight headache, nothing I couldn't handle. So far I am doing ok .....I will receive another infusion on the 4th of March.
My sister has been on Orencia for about 6 months now and she has had some great results. She says she feels like doing extra things now. She hasn't had any problems with the infusion so far except for headaches.

I will post an update as I get each infusion for those who may be interested in Orencia.

I was reluctant to try Orencia but I am so darn tired of hurting and I want my life back. Before Ra I walked 5 to 6 miles a day and was very active. I managed a garden every summer and did the yard work. I weighed 135 lbs. and was never still in one spot very long. Today 4 years after being diagnosed with RA.....I am at 200lbs. and do nothing! I have no energy, no desire for anything anymore. I have given up on my dreams and goals in life....I feel like I just exist these days.
So.....I am hoping that Orencia will be that magical cure.....it has been an emotional roller coaster going on and off different drugs just to still be hurting in the end.

Is there anyone else here that is on Orencia? What are your results?

When are you having your infusion and how often are you having them?

You will feel so much better, these biologicals are great
