Has anyone had any experience with Norspan Patches?

I have recently been given a script for Norspan patches to help with pain management, does anyone have any experience good or bad with regards this medication. I know all about the side effects but there's nothing like getting feed back from other uses.

Hi all. I have just joined this forum and I've never been on one before! My doctor has just put me on Norspan 5mg patches for severe chronic pain in my spine and shoulder due to OA. The patch has only been on 48 hours but I already feel quite a lot of relief in my neck and upper spine. But it's very scary when you google and read all the stuff about drugs like this! I was scared to put the patch on for awhile! I have read a lot of your posts and I feel you all will be helpful! :)

Hi and Welcome
I was on them about 5 yrs ago I found I started on 5mg but quickly went up in dosage, I was only on them a short while as I came off oxycodone but I found they did work the only problem was I developed a bad Rash even switching spots didn't help I got another rash straight away so had to stop using them and went to Tramadol .
5mg is a low dose so I wouldn't be too worried about side effects , just when you use them put it on a different body part each time to help prevent any rashes.
