Hey

I've been strugging with illness for 3 months now..thyroid tests that came back fine...doctors saying it's anxiety as I've had anxiety problems since then...then a few days ago I looked at my knuckles and they looked really weird..they were raised,pointy and boney...so I checked online for raised knuckles and the symptoms of RA matched all mine...chest pains..joint pains...skin discolouration in hand...the only thing is I haven't had ANY PAIN in my hand at all...I wouldn't say I have massive pain in my joints either all the time...but every so often...but my hands have gone thin and wrinkly...it must be right?

Im not sure what you have going on there. Having no pain is a good sign.  Maybe you should see your PCP and if you get no answers ask for a referral to see a Rheumy.

Sorry Im not much help, try not to be too worried about it till you understand why this has happened.

My hands almost never hurt from RA. Even when my knuckles are so swollen my rhuemy can see it across the room.
Your hands going thin and wrinkly though doesn't ring any bells with me.
Go to a rheumy and have the tests done, have the doc do a physical exam-probing your joints. You will get better answers from that then from google.

I agree- an appt. with a rheumatologist would be your best bet. They say only 1-2% of people in the US have RA. That's a pretty small figure. Something is wrong- so I wish you all the best in finding out what it is and that a resolution can be found. Hang in there!

I would also suggest getting it checked out as these symptoms don't ring true to RA for me either but of course I could be wrong. You really need to see your family dr for their opinion and maybe a referral to a Rheumy. Good luck with it all and keep us posted. Go well X
