Today was the worst day I have had since my diagnosis two years ago. The pain is excruciating. I go from having severe chills to sweat rolling down my face from hot flashes. I am not sure what is wrong. Last week my rheumy put me on prednisone for a few days. He told me to stop taking the humira and the mtx. I had already taken my dosage for the week. Don't know if I have given mtx enought time. Only been on it two months.
Got up two days in a row with leg cramps and chills. So hard to sit on the commode. What a way to live.
I wonder if we bring flare-ups on ourselves by doing too much. I have always been so outgoing. In the last year, I have had to close my business, move from my home into my sister's house. I struggle to maintain some portion of my life. I've never been one to lie in bed, but I have absolutely no energy.
Several years ago I was involved in a car wreck and suffered a broken pelvic. I had to take a lot of pain meds and consequently, I have built up a tolerance for pain med. Nothing seems to help. I take vicodin, but I have to moniter the usage so as not to become addicted. Because of that I am only getting a limited amount of relief.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
