Hi Sheila, I've only had it for 4 years but have steadily gone down hill with it, when I first went on humira I had about
4 months when I was good. Now after a years break I've just gone back on humira again and again I am good. Well relatively, I doubt I'll ever be pain free but I feel good, I feel strong and have energy and can go about
my daily chores. Work parttime and deal with 3 kids.
I'm not taking it for granted this time but making sure I enjoy every day I have like this.
I went for a walk today with a friend and we were walking along a soft sand beach for a short while before I realised it was upsetting my hips, so we changed onto the promenade and I feel good tonight.
I hope you get some relief soon, my feet were really playing up for awhile and I went on a 2 day intensive course of 50mg prednilosone and since then they have settled for me. But I'm still on 10mg prednisolone per day. I would ultimately love to come off this and just be on my mtx, humira and mobic but I'm scared to alter anything. I don't want to jinx myself.
My teeth have started to suffer from all this prednisone, I keep losing bits of teeth and I've always had good teeth. Its the horrible price we pay for swallowing these toxic meds...
But injections of cortisone are not damaging to your system, I'd definately try it.
Hopefully it will give you some pain free time to enjoy, golitho
