Does your symptoms feel better during "that time of the month"?

I've felt almost normal for the past week and now I'm starting to hurt again in various joints...

nope usually hurt everywhere even more, and having to take an additional tylenol
for this time of month...wish I could've been more positive for you on this....

Hi. I haven't noticed that time of hte month per se, but I was totally in remission during both pregnancies- which would be related to a change in hormones.

nope, worse. I never had cramps before ever! and now I get cramps that go all the way thru to my back and just kill.
Wish I was lucky like you and felt better. Sorry to hear your hurting again though.

No, I feel much worse, and my GI issues and gastroparesis are much worse as well. I dread that time of the month!!

I guess it was a small remission and now I'm going back into another flare. :(
My hands and feet are getting tender again. So strange....

I've heard that you can go into remission during pregnancy. My arthritis didn't show up until I was 40, long after the babies. I usually felt worse during "that time of the month".

Well- I no longer have that time of the month but I never noticed feeling better or worse. My RA has never had any rhyme nor reason to it.

I also heard that you go into remission during pregnancy. I also heard that it comes back twice as bad after giving birth. Did that happen to any of you?

Hi! New here and would love to respond on this topic!

I've had RA for 10 years now and am in my early 30's, and have always noticed a direct relation with flares and my period. A couple years ago with my doctors approval, I got on birth control and avoid the 'active' pill so that it completely surpresses my period. I feel a million times better and even though I still have flares, at least I don't have that guarantee that with every month a flare will hit me like a ton of bricks!

Anyways, having RA for as long as I had you do have the benefit of monitoring patterns to see if there is any rhyme or reason with the disease. For me, I've only made 'that time of the month' connection.... besides that it's all over the place. :)
