My fellow Enbrel users, autoinjector???

Today was my first injection of the Enbrel using the auto-injectors, and I *thought* I was following the instructions, however, after pressing the purple button, and you have to press *hard*, if would not click!! I lifted it up like an idiot and it went spraying everywhere after it clicked in mid air. I attempted this fiasco twice and on the second attempt I think I got some of the Enbrel into my leg, what a nightmare! I don't remember the purple button being such a challenge to press down and release?!! This is so expensive and I cannot replace these injections and am now down two I even watched the video on *how to* and the person made it look so easy, ha!! I completely wasted my Enbrel!!

Does anyone else have this difficult of a time dispensing/pressing down on the purple button?!

I have been using the Enbrel auto injector for 3 months. Never had a problem like that. As Weary says, I stick my belly, but that only makes it harder as you have to grab some fat to make it firm enough to get the pen pressed down so the button will work. I'd call and complain about the things beind defective.

Thanks everyone~! I don't feel quite so silly today. I will call the pharmacy and explain what has happened and see what they can do for me. I agree lavish regarding the pre-filled, and my husband even reminded that I had difficulty the last time with auto-injectors and should have ordered the pre-filled!
