Has anyone else had triple therapy and what was your experience?

I was wondering if anyone on here had triple therapy (methotrexate + sulfasalazine + hydroxychloroquine) and how well you tolerated it and how effective it was for you?  I've already been on the MTX and plaquinel for some time with no real issues, have never had sulfa drugs so do not yet know if I am alergic.

I am allergic to sulpher so no. But, I take MTX, Plaq and NSAIDS.
The next thing we would have added if I had not gone into a pretty good remission is humera.

Hi, I have been on triple therapy for several years, and it worked very well for me. I started with plaqunil for about 18 months, then added methotrexate and sulfasalizine. After a couple of months i was very well controled with tramadol to control daily pain. Swelling was pretty much gone. After three years the plaq stopped working, as they all will eventually do, and we stopped it. I continued with methotrexate and humara for a few months until my liver stopped being happy with me. (I am on a lot of other meds for other conditions and have three prescribing doctors) Now Im on NO RA meds until my liver calms down.

Triple therapy worked great for me for control. My pain level went down on the last of the few months i was on humera with methotrexate, but i dont think i used it long enough to tell if it was just a good month or the med change.

Everyone reacts diffrent. Drink LOTS OF WATER with sulfasalizine with methotrexate. If not you will have a headache and or a stomachache.
