cymbalta

My rhuemy has suggested (wants me ) to take Cymbalta. I was wondering if anyone had any input on it effects? Good or bad. I read its side effects and I don't want to let them scare me off just yet as aLL meds have side effects and not All patients get them. So I was hoping to get feedback here. Thanks for your input. I know many people who take Cymbalta and say it really helps. I tried it, but it made me feel to weird. As with all drugs, people react differently. You might want to give it a try.

I don't know if I should take it,but have a doctors appointment today to ask more question,but its not My doctor so don't know how well the apptm will go. I don't drink excessively but I do like to have an alcoholic beverage socially..prob not a good thing:(

I suppose it went well, the doctor that filled in for my family doctor did prescribe me 30g of cymbalta daily, and told me to just stop taking my plaquenil and start the cymbalta. I am to wean myself (half a pill daily for a week then quit) taking my amitriptyline.
I have bought it yet as I have to wait for pay day, I just refilled my plaquenil prescription on the 7th of august and therefore haven't enuff money to get the new prescription yet. I was also told it will take up to 2 weeks for any sign of it working. Will post how it works. Thanks again for your support :)

I generally do ask for sample and My own family doctor knows I have no medical plan so is quick to offer or help out when she can. But she is on holidays and I had to go see a new doctor who was taking the more not important but I don't know what to call it patients who needed doctors. There was a note in my file that said if I called in I was to get an appt asap with the sub-in. So now I wait till I can "save" enough to go spend it. But thanks for the idea. I even asked the pharmacy if there was a generic form of cymbalta which is usually cheaper and sadly there is not..take care and thanks for your supportm

Good idea... I guess part of my problem for $ is that I prioritize.School starts again soon and I have to do school shopping for my two boys. So I have put off buying my prescription for now. BUT on the other hand once winter comes I get laid off from my seasonal job and will find it difficult to. Bythen too. Its always something. I have an appointment with a lady from the arthritis society (here in Ontario) on Wednesday. It will be my first physiotherapy appt. So maybe that will help.
