11 year old has sed rate of 34 dr says JRA

My son started complaining of upper arm pain a few days ago(Thursday) and we thought it was just a pulled muscle. He spent the night at my parents house Friday and on Saturday my mom called to tell me he was favoring his whole right side so I figured I would take him to the dr on Monday.That night my dad called to tell me I needed to pick him up and take him to the er, when I got there he couldnt walk, he was slouched over couldnt straighten his knees and was limping really bad and the pain was then also in his left wrist. He looked horrible so I carried him to the car and off to the er we went. The dr ran bloodwork and said his sed rate was high but not very, it was 34, and he thought it may be juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and to got to his pcp monday. All I know is my little boy can't walk is in extreme pain if hes touched or moved, so any insight would be wonderful

My daughter is 3 and she was diagnosed with JRA last year. This could be a flare but a normal JA flare up is worse in the morning and then gets better during the day. There are a few types of JRA though. A rheumy specialist should be able to diagnose a flare straight away, one thing to watch out for is that not all kids are diagnosed from blood work.
