opll is osstification of the posterior longitude ligament. it is a type of growth in the spinal cord. it compresses the spinal area so that you do not get spinal fluid to nerves and muscle. it causing severe pain, burning, spasms, cramping. then you start to loose the use of fingers, hands, arms, legs ect..... can cause complete paralysis. each person that has opll has different degrees of this disease, which is very very rare world wide. (.o2%) at the most. sooo not alot of info even for medical professionals. i hope that more people will tell there story of opll. so nthat others can get some idea of what to expect. my husband was dig 2009 with severe opll in the c-2 to the t-3. had a full fusion laminectomy 2010. but is not getting better is getting worse. he has alot of pain, spasms (seizure), tired, burning, cannot use his right hand and drags his right leg.
